Power plants across Finland
Pohjolan Voima has a total of 18 power plants. Our power plants produce electricity and heat with hydropower, thermal power and nuclear power. The power plants we either own or co-own are located across Finland.
Our hydropower plants
Pohjolan Voima’s hydropower company PVO-Vesivoima Oy produces electricity at its hydropower plants on the Iijoki, Kemijoki, Kokemäenjoki and Tengeliönjoki rivers.
Our thermal power plants
Our five thermal power plants are combined heat and power plants. They produce process steam for industries and district heat for communities, as well as electricity.
Our nuclear power plants
Our joint venture Teollisuuden Voima TVO produces electricity at the Olkiluoto nuclear plant.
