Pohjolan Voima Annual Report 2023 published
Pohjolan Voima’s Annual Report 2023 has been published online at www.pohjolanvoima.fi/en. The Annual Report includes an overview on the company’s operations, Corporate Governance Statement, Report of the Board of Directors and Financial Statements for the period 1 January – 31 December 2023.
Financial Statements and Report of the Board of Directors have been published according to European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) reporting requirements as XHTML-file. The primary statements as well as the notes to the financial statements have been labelled with XBRL tags. Authorised Public Accountants PricewaterhousCoopers Oy has assured the XHTML file and the XBRL tags included in it.
In 2023 we made progress in our carbon neutrality and biodiversity targets. We achieved our targets for 2025, as 99 per cent of our electricity production and 90 per cent of our heat production was carbon neutral. In addition, our use of peat decreased according to our target for 2025, and the reduction was 81 per cent from the 2019 level. We also completed a double materiality analysis for sustainability and defined a new sustainability programme for the next years.
