Katja Permanto, M.Sc (Tech.), has been appointed Environmental and Safety Manager of Pohjolan Voima Oyj as of 1 September 2021. Ms Permanto has previously worked as Pohjolan Voima's Environmental Specialist since 2014 and, additionally, as Safety Specialist since 2019.
Katja Permanto will manage the environmental and safety issues of Pohjolan Voima Group and will report to Ilkka Tykkyläinen, CEO and President of Pohjolan Voima.
- Katja has a long experience in environmental work and coordination of safety issues which are central to us. She will strengthen their further development with her expertise. Our sustainability goals are based on the UN’s sustainable development goals. Our aim is to raise the share of CO2 -neutral electricity production to 99% by 2025. In heat production we are aiming at 85% by 2025. We also want to develop our proactive safety culture together with our partners, says Ilkka Tykkyläinen.
